Summer is not yet over even if the calendar says otherwise. I love looking for pretty summer houses that are strongly connected to the nature. They are imperfect, designed the way it seems that they have been used for a long time. Homes that are authentic, have their own stories that can be told in the evenings. Every home should have a story, no matter what. Every home has its owners that are passionate about different things and interior should reflect it.
This summer home is located in Portugal, Comporta, 1h30 south of Lisbon. It is designed by Pequenina Rodrigues who fell in love with beautiful surroundings and decided that the home should follow the nature. When looking far away to the horizon, it seems that home is really a part of the nature. Incorporated wood, blue hues, natural textiles, white dyed walls and some design elements create a perfect contrast.
When you travel, you can always look for some local accessories that you can bring home. It could be a jewellery, a straw hat, textiles. Or, if you are a passionate boardsports lover, you can decorate your house with boards! It can stand freely, or you can buy some special boards hooks.
Outside
White and blue is always a good idea!
Thatch roof adds some exotic and authentic vibes to the house.
Inside
Wardrobes decorated with bamboo sticks look perfect with red accents and colourful local textiles.
